- The so-called Molino Alto de Santa Ana was the first mill in Valdepeñas de Jaén.
- After the conquest of Granada, the Sierra Sur of Jaén began to be settled, making use of the land where the Arabs had left systems of channels and irrigation ditches.
- This two-stone flour mill began grinding on 15 August 1540, driven by the waters of the Vadillo river.
- Restored and kept by the “Molino Alto de Santa Ana” Cultural Association, the mill can be visited and has a lovely ethnographic museum.
