- Because of where they lie, the upper reaches of the Quiebrajano are one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Sierra Sur of Jaén.
- The Pitillos canyon, bored by the Valdearazo river over the millennia, leads the way to them.
- Natural sculptures such as the chess knight or the Piedra del Palo make this landscape, if possible, even more spectacular.
- Following the route marked by the GR-7, the canyon gradually opens up, showing the visitor the first waters of the reservoir.

More about this place…
The Pitillos canyon, carved by the Valdearazo river over thousands of years, is one of the most beautiful routes to enjoy in the Sierra Sur of Jaén. The impressive canyon, rock formations as peculiar as the chess knight or the Piedra del Palo, and dense, varied vegetation make up a spectacular landscape that ends where the Quiebrajano reservoir begins.
