- Twelve metres high and 6.37 metres across, the tower or watchtower of Cuadros probably dates from the early 14th century.
- On the north-east of the Carluco hill, the people stationed here kept watch over the southern flank of Bedmar.
- Recently restored, it can be visited, and you can climb to its terrace to take in some spectacular views.
- Near the tower there was a rural castle, of which nothing remains, although it is mentioned in medieval texts.
Cuadros Tower
More about this place…
From its privileged position, Cuadros Tower gives visitors a wonderful view over the south of Bedmar. Next to the Cuadros sanctuary, this cylindrical tower, 12 metres high, has recently been restored and can now be visited. Inside it was divided into three rooms, the first of them a small store. As a curiosity, it was built with stone from two different quarries, which gives it a striking two-coloured look.
